We haven't been in Nashville for a month and we're already learning the Southern ways. We still refuse to add "y'all" to our vocabulary, but we did try southern BBQ and line dancing this past weekend and loved it!

On Saturday, we joined friends and went to downtown Nashville. On Broadway and Second Street, there are many famous establishments, most of which feature 'honky tonk' music and entertainment. First, we ate at Jack's BBQ. This BBQ restaurant is neat because it offers six different sauces to choose from. Brandon and I both chose the pulled pork for dinner with the Kansas City sauce (sweet and smoky). It was delicious! Next, we went to the Wildhorse Saloon to learn to line dance. The Wildhorse Saloon charges a $6 cover, but it is totally worth it! We had a blast learning to line dance! We probably looked like fools, but we had so much fun that we didn't care. We have decided that we definitely want to go back to continue our line dancing lessons, but first we need to invest in boots.

On a side note, I've posted a video that shows some of our friends line dancing (Check out how good Chris is in the plaid shirt!). It also shows a man in a red shirt who was at the Wildhorse on Saturday. He was very entertaining, to say the least! You'll understand if you watch the video...
We are very happy in Nashville and are excited to continue exploring the city. It's fun to have each other's companionship as we encounter new adventures. We miss our friends and family very much and hope that you're enjoying our updates - we'd love to hear what you're up to as well. Please remember to comment or send us a message to keep us informed on news in your lives. It'd be great to hear from our loved ones!

ReplyDeleteJeni - He honestly wasn't that drunk, if at all. He just thought he was hot stuff!
