***Disclaimer: This post is written more about my friends and I than Brandon (but he'll be back in the spotlight in the next post!)***
For the past 5 years, I have been blessed by the friendships of Jenn, Dana, and Amanda. The four of us went to Ohio University together and it was there that we met. Our friendships have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly and all those moments have made our relationships with one another stronger. These are the types of friendships that allow you to be vulnerable and show your true colors. Sadly, life currently has us in different locations (aside from Jenn and I, who work at Belmont together). Dana is working in Athens, Ohio and Amanda is finishing up student teaching and job searching in the Appalachia area. We're not sure where the future will take us, but we know that the bonds we have will keep us close, despite the distance between us. One way we ensure this is by having a ladies weekend whenever possible.
Thankfully, this past weekend Dana and Amanda were able to travel from Ohio to Nashville to visit Jenn and I. The four of us had not seen one another since the beginning of June, so a ladies weekend was due! Our weekend was filled with exciting adventures and (most importantly) opportunities to catch up on each other's lives. Jenn and I filled our friends in on the past two months working at Belmont/living in Nashville, Amanda told us updates about her upcoming wedding, and Dana shared stories with us about her recent travels. It was wonderful to be in the company of such close friends again!
On Friday we enjoyed live music at The Stage on Broadway before heading to line the Wildhorse Saloon for line dancing. It was a first for both Dana and Amanda, but I think they enjoyed it! Saturday we went for a morning walk at Centennial Park before heading to Hillsboro Village, a cute neighborhood filled with eclectic shops and restaurants. We ate a delicious lunch at Bosco's, also in Hillsboro Village. We then went to The Cheesecake Factory for a mid-afternoon dessert because they had a special on their cheesecake - 1/2 off! After our amazing cheesecake experience we went to Broadway for a bit of tourist shopping. Oddly enough we ran into four people from OU while downtown - what are the chances?!? On Saturday night we went to a race track close to Belmont to watch a few car races. None of us had ever been to a car race and wanted to try it out to see if we liked it. We had fun picking which cars we thought would win each race. Between the four of us, we're made a few pretty good picks! Here are a few pictures from our weekend together:

I had such a great time exploring Nashville with my best girl friends! And for those of you worried about Brandon, he did just fine with out me. He was able to have a 'slob fest' (his words) and enjoyed the quiet time to song write. After reading this post, I encourage you to call a friend you haven't talked to in a while - it does the soul good to catch up with those you love!
This was the worst post I've ever read. It just lacked something...
