Friday night we went to a Sounds game. This was our third game (and the first game we've seen the Sounds win!) so I wont go into much detail about the team/game because I've written about it in a blog post before. Instead, I'll write about the firework show that followed the game. Brandon and I LOVE fireworks, but we haven't always had the best experiences with firework shows. We tend to have bad seats or bad timing. Our typical bad luck regarding firework shows did not apply on Friday night though! We had great seats & the show (despite being at a ballpark) was actually pretty good! The video below is of the last part of the firework show and I didn't even have to use a zoom - we were that close!
On Saturday we ate out with our friend Joshua. Brandon and I have been craving mexican and looking for a good mexican restaurant, so Joshua took us to one of his favorite mexican places, Cinco de Mayo. We'll write more about this experience in a new Taste of Nashville blog, soon to come! After dinner we joined another friend, Chris, at the Nashville Racetrack to watch a bit of car racing. This was my second experience at the racetrack, but a first for Brandon. Our friend, Chris, volunteers as the Chaplain at the track and as a result, he was able to get us into the pit. It was AMAZING to see the races up close and personal. We were able to see the racetrack drama (the wrecks, arguments between the drivers, cars on fire, etc.) from the sidelines, which added to the entertainment. Here are a few pictures from our night at the track:

It's hard to believe that we have to go back to work again tomorrow morning, but it's a little easier to gear up for the week after having a fun-filled weekend. As I mentioned earlier, stay tuned for a Taste of Nashville about our mexican dinner at Cinco de Mayo. Hope you're having a great weekend!
Nice job on the firework video Steph! It does look like it was a nice show!
