Working on our Tans

At 4:30 p.m. yesterday, the temperature in Nashville was 102 degrees! Good thing we spent the day with our friend Courtney by the pool at her apartment complex. Although, I suppose instead of saying we, I should say I spent the day at the pool with Courtney because Brandon stayed inside and watched the Ohio State football game most of the afternoon.

This was the first chance I've had all summer to spend the day at the pool. For my family and friends who know me well, you realize how unusual this is for me (I LOVE being poolside on hot, sunny days!). Due to our lack of sun exposure, Brandon and I are both pale as can be. We're extremely thankful to Courtney for inviting us over to help fix this small issue :)

I'm not sure how many more sunny days we'll have to spend by the pool this year, so our tans might not improve much, but we're grateful for the time we had yesterday to relax and cool off from the heat- thank you Courtney!
