August is a bittersweet month for Brandon and I. It marks the end of summer and the beginning of another school year. While we love to see the students come back to campus, we know that the free time, peace and quiet, and relaxation we've experienced this summer will soon be a distant memory.
Students have already started moving back in my residence hall. My staff of RAs show up tomorrow and Friday and RA training begins on Saturday. RA training continues to next Thursday and will consist of many 10-12 hour work days. The following Friday and Saturday are move in days for the majority of students. Needless to say, the next week of my life will be incredibly busy.
I write this short post to inform you that we may not have many updates on our blog for a few weeks. As soon as the students settle in and Brandon and I adjust to life with them here, we'll get back into the habit of updating our blog every couple days. We hope your August is a bit more laid back than ours!
