Our First Preds Game

Brandon and I love ice hockey games (maybe me a bit more than him, but he still likes them a lot). When we moved to Nashville, the only thing that made up for the city not having a major league baseball team was the fact that it had a national hockey league team. Ice hockey season began at the beginning of October and we were both lucky enough to have awesome friends that offered us tickets to the season opener of the Predators...separately :)

Brandon went to the season opener with Anthony, my boss. Anthony and his wife have season tickets to the Preds games, but she wasn't able to go that night, so Brandon scored the extra ticket. I was asked to go to the game by my co-worker, Sarah. She had a few extra tickets, so another co-worker, Nicole, and Nicole's sister joined us for the game. Our seats were AMAZING! Twelfth row, center ice (Sarah has a friend who works for the Preds and gave her the tickets for free!!!).

Jennifer, Nicole, and Sarah outside Bridgestone Arena.

Our amazing seats!

Jennifer and Sarah - thanks for the tickets Sarah!

Nicole and I - we got free shirts (they're HUGE!)

Only in Nashville does Vince Gill play between periods.

The Preds game was so much fun - the fans are INTENSE! Unfortunately, the Preds lost throughout the game, but it was ok because Vince Gill played between the periods. Only in Nashville do you get a country music concert during an ice hockey game! Also in attendance were Dierks Bentley and some guy from American Idol (a show I dont watch so I dont remember his name...but still cool).

Brandon and I feel so blessed to have such generous friends - we have been able to do so many amazing things in this city because of these wonderfully giving individuals. Special thanks to both Anthony and Sarah for your big hearts - we both enjoyed our experiences at the game and with you! We definitely plan to go to more Preds games in the future (Brandon has already been to another one) - they're incredibly entertaining on a variety of levels. I still wish Nashville had a major league baseball team, but until they do, ice hockey will suffice :)
